Washington at New York

The New York Mets have been hanging around the .500 mark for most of the season. Only six teams in the NL are .500 or better, so the Mets remain in contention for a wild-card entry into the playoffs. The Mets will send Jose Quintana to the mound as they open a three-game set at home vs. the Washington Nationals. Quintana is a solid starter, and the Mets have seen the best of him over his last three starts, where opponents have combined for just four runs in the three games. The Nats will turn to Jake Irvin. This is a rematch of each pitcher's last start, which saw them dual to a 1-0 Nationals win. I think both hurlers are confident going in, and I like this game UNDER the total.
