Gio Gonzalez has had his struggles this season. He missed a month with a shoulder injury and is just 3-4 on the season, but this guy is a master when he's right, and to get him as an underdog is a situation we aren't going to pass up. Betting on him in every game he has pitched since 2009 would have netted you and ROI of 14% with just one losing season (and that was a near-break-even season). Even this year with the issues, he's delivered a profit. The Brewers have struggled on offense at home this season, averaging just 4.1 runs per game. They've relied on great pitching to win games. Matt Garza fits that bill, but Gonzalez has proven to be a much better bet. He is 27-13 on the road the past two seasons. Meanwhile, Milwaukee is just 36-40 over that span when favored.
