Washington at Miami

Miami is desperately trying to stay in the Wild Card race and send rookie Dillon Peters to the mound. Peters comes off pitching seven shutout innings against Philadelphia while allowing just three hits on Friday. The left-hander struck out eight and walked three in an impressive performance. The Marlins lost the first two games of the series, but they are 20-7 their last 27 games in Game 3 of a series after losing the first two dating to last season. Gio Gonzalez lost his last start while giving up five runs on eight hits in six innings in a 6-3 loss at Milwaukee. The Nationals will be facing Peters for the first time and Miami still is above .500 at home with Giancarlo Stanton always a factor as he approaches 60 homers. Play the Marlins.
