Washington has won 22 of the last 29 meetings, including the last seven at Miami and the Nationals have won Max Scherzer's last four starts versus the Marlins. The Nationals won 10-3 on Thursday as Trea Turner homered and hit a tie-breaking triple two-run triple and the Nationals banged out nine extra-base hits. Miami is 24-30 at home and mired in last place in the NL East. Scherzer has been even better than his 13-5 record indicates as he owns a 2.43 ERA and a .187 opponent batting average. The right-hander has 189 strikeouts and only 35 walks in 140 2/3 innings. Pablo Lopez will make his fifth start for the Marlins and he has allowed 13 runs on 19 hits in 23 innings.
