This matchup is perhaps a preview of what could be an October showdown in the NL Playoffs as the surging Washington Nationals will take on the LA Dodgers once again. Jordan Zimmermann has regained his 2013 form for the Nats as he has delivered seven consecutive quality starts, but there is a caveat. Zimmermann has never had success in solving the Dodgers' attack, recording a dismal 5.63 ERA in five career starts against them. Carlos Frias will make his first major league start for the Dodgers, and he is a power pitcher, and that type of arm usually handles the Nats well. The Dodgers have handled strong starters very well as they have delivered an 11-5 mark in their last 16 when facing a pitcher with a WHIP of less than 1.15. Zimmeramann struggles against this lineup, and the Nationals' 6-21 mark here in their last 27 games in LA closes the deal. Take the Dodgers.
