Washington at Los Angeles

Washington couldn't get anything going on Thursday against Walker Buehler and tonight the Nationals are up against Clayton Kershaw, who has had his problems in postseason play. Stephen Strasburg is on the mound for Washington and he owns a 2.54 ERA in 11 career starts versus the Dodgers and he especially has been effective at Dodger Stadium where he has a 2.08 ERA in 26 innings. Strasburg threw 34 pitches on Tuesday in the Wild Card game, but manager Dave Martinez isn't concerned and views it as a workout. The Nationals are 36-17 their last 53 games and 42-15 in Strasburg's last 57 road starts. Also, Washington has won 13-of-16 against left-handed starters and six of its last eight road contests against southpaw starters. Kershaw gave up a career-worst 28 home runs this season and there is huge value in the road dog. Back the Nationals.
