Washington at Colorado

Colorado is tied with the Dodgers for first place in the NL West and still might have to play again on Monday to determine who wins the title if both win or lose on Sunday. Washington considered pitching Max Scherzer for this matchup, but decided he had pitched enough innings this season and went with Erick Fedde. The right-hander is making his 11th start of the season, and Fedde has an overall ERA of 5.24 as he allowed three runs on five hits in 3 1/3 innings his last outing against the Mets on Sept. 23.  It took awhile, but Tyler Anderson probably had his best two outings of the season against San Francisco and the Dodgers when he allowed a total of only four runs those two starts, although he got little run support from his teammates. Colorado has won eight of its last nine games, and the Rockies are 13-3 their last 16 games versus NL East teams (35-16 their last 51 home games). Play the Rockies.
