When Stephen Strasberg went down with an arm injury, the Nationals looked destined for another 100-loss campaign. The surprise is not the fact they are not headed to 100 losses, but approaching the halfway mark this team is above the .500 mark for the season. Meanwhile the White Sox, thought to be a major player in the AL Central, are under .500. That leaves us with a line here based on what was supposed to be, not what is. As a result, the value resides clearly on the side of the Nationals. The White Sox aren’t getting any help from Edwin Jackson, who takes the hill tonight, as they are 2-9 in his last 11 starts. The Nats are firing on all cylinders right now at 11-1 in their last 12 games and they get the call in this one.
