The Washington Nationals held their own for awhile this season, but have regressed back to the losing team we have come to know over the past several years. The Nats are now on a six game losing streak. Livan Hernandez has had a good year, but he is also known for poor second halves of the season. Right on cue, over his last four starts and 21.1 innings of work, he’s allowed 23 runs. The Nats are now 3-9 overall in his last 12 starts, and 2-9 in his last 11 road starts. Atlanta has been the best home team in baseball all season long and Jair Jurrgens exemplifies that. He is 1-4 with a 5.81 ERA on the road, while at home he is 6-1 with a 3.17 ERA. The Nats are 42-106 in their last 148 on the road vs. a right hander, while the Braves are 38-13 in their last 51 as a home favorite, including 7-0 behind Jurrgens in that role. This one says all Atlanta.
