The Atlanta Braves were in charge early, getting off to a blazing 12-1 start. The record is still good because of that, but since the quick start, this has been an under .500 team. Tim Hudson has been showing signs of age and has pitched to a 5.37 ERA on the season despite winning four of his first five starts. Gio Gonzalez has not been up to the level he achieved a year ago, but has been very solid in four of his last five starts. The Braves handled Washington early when they were hot, winning five straight, but the Nats are in the process of getting even, having won the last three. Go with Washington.
