Washington continues to amaze, riding a eight game winning streak. But this is a tough spot, playing its seventh straight road game and almost 3,000 miles from home. This is not a great Nationals offense, one ranked in the middle of the pack in runs, batting average, on base percentage and slugging. And they face a strong starter here in Arizona's Patrick Corbin (3.53 ERA), whom they have never faced before. The kid has 42 Ks in 51 innings with few walks and in his last three starts sports a 2.08 ERA. Corbin has gone 1-1 with a 2.29 ERA in four appearances (two starts) at Chase Field this season. The Diamondbacks are 13-3 in their last 16 home games vs. a left-handed starter while the Nationals are 5-14 in Ross Detwiler's last 19 starts as a road underdog. Play the Diamondbacks.
