Toronto is always knocking on the door in the AL East, but always playing catch-up to the Yankees and Red Sox. There problem is playing on the road. They are one game shy of 100 wins in the last two years at home but at the same time nine games shy of 100 losses on the road. The last four years they have won just 41.7% of their road games, and Halladay is not immune. The Jays were just 7-9 in his road starts last year, and his biggest nemesis has been the Rangers (career 5.86 ERA vs. Texas). Luis Mendoza was 15-4 last year in the minors and the potential is there. He showed that in over three starts at the end of last year where he allowed just 3 runs in three starts. While not a single team that finished last in their divison in all of baseball last year won as many as 40 games, the Rangers were a highly respectable 47-34. We like them is one tonight.
