Toronto lost its second in a row as the Rays won 10-5 on Thursday and pulled within one game of the Blue Jays for the top AL wild card. Wander Franco hit a two-run double and totaled three RBIs for the Rays, who have scored 21 runs the last two meetings, including an 11-0 win on Sept. 15. Mitch White will start for the Blue Jays and he is 1-6 with a 5.05 ERA and he has allowed 21 runs on 26 hits his last four appearances covering only 18 innings. White has a 8.64 ERA in September and it was 7.04 in August. Jeffrey Springs goes for Tampa Bay tonight and it has won his last four starts and he has given up just three runs his past 20 1/3 innings. The Blue Jays have lost seven of their past eight versus left-handed starters and they are 16-36 their past 52 meetings at Tampa Bay. The Rays are 50-28 at home this season. Take the Rays.
