When the season started the Seattle Mariners' offense looked like they were on record pace in terms of their team batting average which remained under .200 well into the season. They have slowly improved as the season has progressed. They averaged fewer than 4 runs a game through May but have since gotten things going. What has really gotten going is the pitching which has allowed just 2.83 runs per game in August. Yusei Kikuchi has won each of his last 2 starts against some good teams in the Yankees and Rays allowing a combined total of 2 runs. Mariner's are in a dog role here, and already took the opener vs Toronto, and limited a strong offense to 2 runs. I like Seattle here tonight behind Kikuchi. Make the play on Seattle.
