It seems that the oddsmaskers, or no one for that matter, can find any reason to believe that this Padres team, that has found lightning in a bottle, can sustain. Here we are better than 60 games into the season, and the Padres hold 10 games above .500. The Blue Jays’ offense has struggled to find runs, and currently have produced just 22 in their last nine games, or 2.4 per game. The wins are hard to come by at that rate, especially when the staff has served up 9 or more in three of the last seven. The Jays have only been able to cash two of their last nine in interleague play, and the Padres are answering the bell in a big way when coming off a loss, where they are a sizzling 28-11. I'll go with San Diego here.
