Toronto at San Diego

The American League East is already setting the stage for a highly competitive season as all five teams are at .500 or better to this point in the season. Toronto got off to a rather slow start, but has won four out of five as they head for the West Coast to take on San Diego. The Padres are coming off a six game road trip vs. highly competitive teams where they took two out of three from both the Dodgers and Brewers. I think they could come home tired, and flat. The Jays will go with Yariel Rodriguez, and he won his first start and pitched well in a 5-3 win. San Diego turns to Matt Waldron who is just 3-6 in 9 big-league starts and an ugly 0-3 to start 2024.
