The Toronto Blue Jays are stuck in the AL East which has Tampa Bay, Boston and the New York Yankees to contend with for 54 regular season games. They are 35-25 outside the AL East facing AL teams. They are likely an undervalued pennant contender in any other division. Gio Gonzalez was sailing along to what looked to be another impressive season, but he has lost it down the stretch. The A's have lost his last five starts, getting outscored 37-20 in the process. Gonzalez is now 9-11, and over his last four games has pitched to a woeful 7.15 ERA. The Jays have been on the mark vs. lefties winning four straight, and won't make it any easier on him here. I'm backing Toronto in this one.
