New York is a big favorite here despite a ton of problems. Toronto rolled yesterday, 6-3, with 16 base runners, and the Yankees are 5-11 in their last 16 Sunday get-away games. This is a small park and Toronto is in town with an offense ranked fifth in runs scored, seventh in on base percentage, and fourth in slugging. The Blue Jays have won three of their last five at Yankee Stadium. Blue Jays starter Drew Hutchison is 2-0 his last two starts against the Yankees with a 1.32 ERA. New York has a weak all around offense, 24th in runs scored and 23rd in OBP. The Yankees are testing Masahiro Tanaka, who has been out for 2 1/2 months because of a partial tear in his right elbow. The Yankees want him to pitch twice before the season ends to determine if he can avoid Tommy John surgery, and he will be limited to 70 to 75 pitches. The Yankees are also without center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury, who strained his right hamstring and appears done for the season. It's tough to lay this big a price with the home team and all their problems. Play Toronto.
