Toronto is barely over .500 on the road this season and this is a brutal spot, playing its 10th straight road game. The Blue Jays' offense is in the middle of the pack in on-base percentage and batting average, and this park in Minnesota is not easy to hit in. They also have to face Twins lefty Scott Diamond (0.00 ERA), whom they have never seen as he made his first start the last game. Diamond was stellar in his first start in the major leagues Tuesday, shutting out the Angels over seven innings, allowing just four hits and a walk. Diamond also managed six strikeouts, which is exceptional considering he struck out just 19 in 39 innings for the Twins last season and 26 in 34.2 innings in Triple-A. That's common when new pitchers break into the majors as the opposing team has no book on them. Diamond has a good chance to remain in the Twins’ rotation for a while on the back of this excellent beginning to his career. Play the Twins.
