The Toronto Blue Jays have the unfortunate reality of playing in the AL East. Through 70 games the Jays have managed to keep their head above water at 36-34, but in the AL East that is only good enough for last place. The Marlins added a lot of pieces in the offseason to make a run at the NL East, but those pieces haven't found the chemistry yet. Josh Johnson is coming off of arm surgery has not been nearly as effective as he was prior. He continues to build arm strength and his 4.18 ERA and 4-5 record show it. The oddsmakers are treating this one as if Johnson is who he was prior to last year, but his ERA is higher than any prior season. The Jays have come up big behind Cecil on five days rest where they are 11-4 in his last 15. The Marlins are weak at home vs. teams over .500 where they are 17-35 in their last 52. Play on Toronto.
