This is a game designed to be low-scoring, and here is the supporting logic. The Toronto Blue Jays are averaging 5.8 runs a game vs. right-hand pitching, while the Angels vs. right-handers, are producing 4.8 per game. Those numbers would make this total appear well in reach, but the problem here is that both teams are starting a lefthander, and the numbers fall off dramatically for each side. Toronto dips to 2.4 runs per game vs. southpaws, or 3.4 runs less. The Angels score just 3.5 vs. lefties, 1.3 less, so a combined 4.7 runs less a game for these clubs. That makes this total loaded with value on the UNDER, which is my call here.
