Toronto evened its record at 3-3 with a 2-1 victory over the Astros as Davis Schneider hit a two-run homer off closer Josh Hader with two outs in the ninth inning. It was a complete turnaround from the Blue Jays' 10-0 no-hit loss the day before. Chris Bassitt takes the mound for Toronto and he'll look to redeem himself after giving up five runs (four earned) in five innings against Tampa Bay on Friday. Bassitt does come off a 16-8 season with a 3.60 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP in 2023. He is 5-3 with a 1.17 WHIP when starting against Houston in his career.
