The Boston Red Sox have done a lot of reshaping of their team over the last couple of years, and so far the dividends have yet to be felt as they have struggled to a 27-34 record on the season. The Toronto Blue Jays have now won eight straight games, and have pushed their record to one game over .500. That means just eight games ago they were on the same low level as Boston, so I think the line is a bit over done. Joe Kelly has been a mystery for Boston, as he has electric stuff, but the season numbers are ugly. The good news is that he may be finding something as he has allowed two runs or fewer in four of his last five starts. The Jays' weak spot is playing on the road facing a right hander where they are just 9-21 in their last 30. The Red Sox have flourished behind Kelly as a dog at 5-1 in his last six. Back Boston.
