We have to pick our spots to lay close to 2-to-1 but this situation calls for it. Josh Beckett and his new found team up north face the Blue Jays after a stellar start in his first debut with the Sox in allowing just 1 run over 7 innings against the Rangers. The Sox went on to win that game in a pitcher's duel 2-1. However, this game should be more high scoring considering the Sox face Josh Towers who got shelled by a weak Twins offense to the tune of 10 hits over 4 innings. While the Sox have faced Towers, this is the first look the Jays have against Beckett. I like to call this the Matt Clement syndrome as many teams their first time around are not successful against a pitcher, but their second time around at the latter half of the season find more success. The Red Sox have won four straight and are 68-28 in their last 96 when the total is set around 9-10.5 at home. Let's go with the once world champs that seem to have the calibre of pitching to back up their bats.
