Texas was probably looking to next year when the Rangers traded for Cole Hamels in midseason, but the left-hander went 5-0 in September and October and helped the Rangers come on strong in the final two months to win the AL West. Hamels is 7-4 with a 3.09 ERA in postseason play while Marcus Stroman is making his first playoff start. Toronto's star third baseman Josh Donaldson is questionable after going through concussion protocol and Jose Bautista might not be 100 percent after suffering a minor leg injury. The Rangers have a .742 OPS against right-handers this season which is fifth in the majors. The Blue Jays have been a good home team this season, however, the Rangers are 46-36 on the road. Texas has the momentum after winning its last regular season game to clinch the division while the Blue Jays have lost three in a row. Take the Rangers to win game two.
