The Texas Rangers own a 3.5 game lead in the AL West, while the Tampa Bay Rays are 10.5 games back in the AL East and their playoff hopes are on life support at best. David Price took the AL by storm a year ago with his 19-6 mark, but his fortunes have tilted downward ith a disappointing 12-12 mark while pitching for a winning team. He has struggled vs. winning teams pitching at home where the Rays are just 1-5 in his last six. Derek Holland may not be deserving of his 13-5 mark with a 4.13 ERA, but the Rangers can score and Holland has pitched well of late yielding just a single run in his last two starts. The Rangers are now 9-2 on the road facing a total of 7-8.5 and have taken six of the last eight played here in Tampa. Texas is my play in this one.
