Texas at Tampa Bay

The Texas Rangers lost 94 games in 2022 and ownership went out and bought a lot of high priced free agents, or traded for quality players. The result was a 106-win season including playoffs, and a World Series Championship. The Rangers are certainly in the mix to do it again and have started 3-2. They opened the season taking two of three from the Cubs and will look to come away with a series win in Tampa this afternoon. The Rangers went 13-4 in Eovaldi's last 17 starts a year ago. He has dominated the Rays as he is a perfect 7-0 in his last seven decisions against them. Aaron Civale has a 50-38 record in his career, but the last time he faced the Rangers they scored 12 runs in an easy win. Like the pitching match up here and will go with the Texas Rangers.
