The St. Louis Cardinals got the jump on the Rangers with a hard fought 3-2 win last night. That game featured a pair of aces, and the low-scoring affair has prompted oddsmakers to stay low for Game 2. Colby Lewis did finish 15-10 on the season, which is good by most counts, but he pitched to a rather pedestrian 4.40 ERA. Jaime Garcia did have a productive outing vs. Milwaukee, but overall his last four starts have shown to be not very effective as he has pitched to a 6.41 ERA. I think the pitchers got the best of the hitters last night, but the hitters look to have the edge tonight on both sides. The Rangers have played to a 25-10-3 mark to the OVER in their last 38 as a favorite, and the Cardinals have played 10-4-1 to the OVER in their last 15. This one goes OVER the total.
