The surging Rangers are close to their first AL West title since 1999. They get the last-place Mariners here who have lost eight of their last nine games. Doug Fister has pitched pretty well at home this season with a 3.14 ERA, but the Mariners are just 5-10 in home starts and 8-17 overall with him taking the mound this season. Meanwhile, the Rangers are 15-4 with Tommy Hunter on the mound this year. Seattle's offense has been horrible all season, producing only 3.0 runs per game at home. But things have gotten even worse for them down stretch. Over the last seven games they've managed just 2.1 runs per game. It's pretty clear this team has given up. When facing a team with a losing record this season, Texas is 47-24. As a favorite of -125 to -175 this season, Texas is 41-18. That includes an 11-1 mark as a favorite of -125 to -175 with Hunter on the Hill. I like the Rangers here.
