Texas at Seattle

Texas has a terrific offense, seventh in baseball in runs scored, and the pitching has impressed ranked #10 in team ERA. The Rangers won three straight games against Seattle last weekend, part of a 20-8 run the Rangers are on against the AL West. Southpaw Derek Holland goes here and is 2-0 against the Mariners this season and 12-4 in his career. He has also pitched well over his last four outings with a 2.45 ERA and the Rangers are 36-17 when Holland faces a team with a winning record. Seattle has a winning record overall, but a losing home mark, plus the Mariners are 3-8 at home against a left-handed starter. Seattle goes with righty Hisashi Iwakuma (4-5, 4.13 ERA), who has a 5.46 ERA at home where opposing batters are hitting .303 against him. The Mariners are on a 2-8 run in divisional play, so grab the talented and balanced division dog, and take Texas.
