Texas at Oakland

Oakland is delighted to be home after a 10-game trip and a day of rest. Texas is in town, losing two of the last three as favorites each time. Rangers lefty Martin Perez (3-5, 4.96 ERA) goes here and is 3-4 with a 5.59 ERA in seven starts versus Oakland. Perez is 0-4 on the road this season with a 5.18 ERA as opponents hit .313 off him. The Rangers are 2-5 in his last seven road starts and 2-5 when he gets five days of rest. Oakland is 8-1 at home against a team with a winning record. Athletics lefty Sean Nolin (3.24 ERA) is throwing well after a great run in Triple A. The Athletics are 23-7 in their last 30 home games when following a road trip of seven or more days.
