Texas at Oakland

The Texas Rangers are working to seal the deal in the AL West where their current lead over the Angels is now at five games with nine to play. The key is that the last three on the season take them to Los Angeles. Texas continues to win behind the improving Derek Holland as the Rangers are now 9-4 in his last 13 starts. Holland has handcuffed the A's attack allowing just 2 runs in 16 innings against them this season. The last was a nine-inning gem where the A’s were shutout. Oft-injured Rick Harden is finding difficulty getting his act together on the mound in another abbreviated season, pitching to a 4.76 ERA on the season. The Rangers are winning the games they are supposed to, now at 40-14 in their last 54 as a favorite, and the A's have dropped four straight behind Harden. Texas gets the call.
