The Oakland A's had it all going their way, wining the AL West each of the past two seasons, and appeared to be headed for a third,until the Angels woke up and left them in the dust. Oakland had a bad stretch, but still is a playoff team if the season ended today. The team's strength is their pitching and they seem to have their issues ironed out. The A's staff has allowed 11 runs in the last six games, and the A's have put two straight in the win column for the first time since August 9th. Texas is just 22-57 in their last 79 games, and 10-30 in their last 40 on the road. Oakland has destroyed right-handed pitching at home where they own a 96-47 mark in their last 143, and are cashing in to a 98-35 mark in their last 133 here as a big chalk from -201 or higher. The A's also own an impressive 19-6 mark behind Kazmir in his last 25 starts as a favorite. All Oakland in this one.
