Texas at Oakland

Oakland won its second in a row, 4-3, over the White Sox on Thursday while getting a great pitching performance by Sean Manaea, and the Athletics will start Paul Blackburn tonight. He had three good outings before giving up four runs in 3 2/3 innings against the red-hot Blue Jays on Saturday. Still, Blackburn has given up just two runs in 10 2/3 innings at home since being called up from the minors. This will be the third appearance for Glenn Otto, and he allowed two runs on four hits in 4 2/3 innings versus the Angels on Friday. Oakland is 39-32 at home while Texas is 20-51 on the road, and the Rangers have lost 35 of 52 in the first game of a series. They are also 16-35 their past 51 against AL West teams. Oakland is 40-19 against teams with .400 or worse winning percentages. Play the Athletics.
