They have otherwise not lost more than three in a row, and have been the best team in picking up the pieces from a loss. The Rangers are now a major-league best 56-18 when following a loss. The Angels are three games out of the second wildcard spot in the AL with just 14 games to play. But they simply haven't been the team most thought they would be.
