Texas at Houston

The Texas Rangers endured one of their worst stretches in many years. This team has dealt with a rash of injuries all season, and has never really been a contender all season. The Rangers' bats came alive last night in a 12-4 pasting of Seattle, and they have now won three of their last four, and own a winning record over their last nine, so they have not quit. Houston did what they so often do, and that is blow a lead late in the game, letting another one slip through their hands. The offense has struggled in losing four of their last five, producing just 2.6 runs per contest. Tepesch has been great when opening a series where the Rangers are 5-0 in his last five starts in a series opener. Houston is a dismal 18-42 in their last 60 at home vs. a team with a losing road record, and Texas has taken 21 of the last 28 here. Go with Texas.
