Texas at Boston

The Red Sox have a losing recent history in their game immediately following a series with the Yankees. Dice-K faced the Rangers once last season and gave up five runs in five innings. The Rangers’ Luis Mendoza appears to be coming into his own as well as he pitched five strong innings against the Blue Jays after he posted a 2.25 ERA last September. The Red Sox have never seen him and that tilts the odds towards the pitcher, especially early in the season. The Rangers are 5-3 on the road so far this season and have a pretty good track record at Fenway, where they have been 5-5 over the last two years. We will back the Rangers to steal one here.
