The Rangers improved to 17-9 at home this season while the Rays fell to 12-14 on the road. Tampa Bay will get its first look at Austin Bibens-Dirkx, who is making his first Major League start. Opposing hitters are batting only .195 against the rookie in his four appearances as a reliever. Chris Archer is 4-3 with a 3.61 ERA, but the Rays have lost five of his last seven starts due to bullpen woes. Archer has a 7.47 ERA against the Rangers the last three seasons, allowing 14 runs (13 earned) on 19 hits in just 15 2/3 innings.
