The Tampa Bay Rays were at one point in June 18 games below .500, and left for dead of any playoffs hopes. That has all changed as this team has caught fire, and has played themselves back in the race for the second AL Wild Card spot. The surge has been led by exceptional pitching, as the Rays have dominated opposing team's lineups. Tampa Bay has limited opposing offenses to 3 runs or less in 21 of their last 25 games, including each of their last nine. Texas used to be a powerhouse with deep lineup, but most of that cast has moved on, and this Texas team is now the worst in the AL, if not all of baseball. This Texas lineup has mustered more than 3 runs in just three of their last 13 games on the season. The ugly has prevailed with this Rangers squad to the tune of 13-39 over their last 52 games, and they now stand at 5-21 in their last 26 to a total of 9 to 10.5. Behind Ross they are an imperfect 0-6 in his last six starts. The Rays are in their sweet spot, sporting a 10-1 mark in their last 11 to a line of -110 to -150, and have been getting it done on the road where they are 20-6 in their last 26. The Rays are also 15-5-2 to the UNDER in their last 22 as a road favorite, and have cashed 8 of 10 UNDER the total vs. an inept team - one under .400. The Rangers are now 45-22-4 to the UNDER in their last 71 vs. the AL East, including 5-1-1 to the UNDER at home in their last seven vs. Tampa Bay. Take Tampa Bay and the UNDER.
