The Oakland A's knew they had a long way to go after losing 112 games a year ago. The A's have made some gains this season, as they have already won four more games than a year ago, and their best baseball seems to be right now. Don't look now but the A's are 17-11 in their last 28 games. This team has shown promise as we head to the late stages of the season. Tampa Bay folded like a tent at the trade deadline, exchanging the present for the future. The Rays are a mediocre 8-11 in their last 19 games. The A's, with a win here, could get to .500 for the season at home. I like Oakland in this one.
