Tampa Bay at Oakland

Oakland got a much needed win last game and I look for them to carry that momentum into this one as they have a chance to win a series. Tampa Bay is sitting 2B Akinori Iwamura and 1B Carlos Pena in this game. Pena leads the Rays with 21 RBIs so this is no small change, especially considering that even with him in the lineup, this team has scored two or fewer runs in four of its last six games. They are 1-6 vs. left-handed starters, scoring just 3.3 runs per game. Oakland has also struggled vs. southpaws but they face a right-hander today in Sonnanstine and the A's are getting a full 5.0 runs per game vs. righties this year, posting a 4-2 mark. The Rays are 1-8 this season in expected close games (line of -125 to 125) and I'm fading them here.
