The New York Yankees will not be in the playoffs for just the second time in the last 19 seasons. It has been a year of the injury as the Bronx Bombers have used a record 58 players on the season. Tampa Bay is looking really good, and currently hold down the No. 1 wildcard position, which would mean they will host a one-game showdown vs. either Cleveland or Texas. The one bright spot in the Yankees' rotation has been the emergence of Ivan Nova. Nova is off a 9-inning, complete game shutout, and owns a stellar 3.13 ERA on the season. He has been even better at the Stadium where he is 7-2 on the season with a sparkling 2.43 ERA. The Rays are just 4-10 in their last 14 on the road vs. a winning team, while the Yanks are 26-8 in Nova's last 34 starts when following a quality start in his previous game. Go with the Yankees.
