Tampa Bay at New York

New York will attempt to slow down the Rays, who have caught fire following a slow start to the season. The Yankees will look to James Paxton, who faced Tampa Bay on August 9 and gave up three runs on four hits in 6 1/3 innings.  Paxton faced the Rays twice in 2019 and allowed four runs in 12 innings. John Curtiss will make his first start for Tampa Bay, although it appears to be another bullpen game for the Rays. The right-hander has made three appearances this season and has given up two runs in 6 1/3 innings. The Rays haven't swept the Bronx Bombers in more than six years and have won only two series in 17 tries at Yankee Stadium. Play the Yankees on the runline.
