Tampa Bay has some pretty solid pitching, but their least likely winning road option takes the mound in Minnesota for this late afternoon affair. Wade Davis has struggled and lost his last five starts. He has posted a 6.00 ERA during this time. Francisco Liriano continues to make strides to regain the form that made him look like the equal to Johan Santana, as he has allowed 3 runs or less in five of his last six starts. The Rays’ 88-180 mark in their last 266 road games vs. a winning team do not bode well here, especially facing a Twins team that is 38-13 in their last 51 as a home favorite of -110 to -150. The Rays are also bombing out in Minnesota at 8-23 in their last 31. I like Minnesota on the runline here.
