Francisco Liriano has started 0-4 with a 7.06 ERA but that won't continue. He's happy to see the Rays across the field as he's got a lifetime 0.57 ERA vs. Minnesota. The aura that surrounded the Rays last season hasn't stayed with them in 2009 yet the betting public seems to be oblivious to it. This team is 8-12 on the season and a horrible 1-7 against LHP yet they are favored in this game on the road. Against southpaws, the Rays are averaging just 3.0 runs per game. This season they are 2-9 in expected close games (those with a line of -125 to +125). The wins are 31-16 in those games over the past two seasons. I'll fade the Rays here until they show me they can hit a lefty.
