The Rays caught a break here in not having to face Josh Johnson. Scheduled to start this game, Johnson was put on the 15-day disabled list. They get Jay Buente instead. So instead of facing Johnson and his 1.64 ERA, the Rays face a 27-year old who has been called up from Triple A to make his first career start. This is an important game for the Rays who look to avoid dropping their fourth straight. On the road this season, Tampa Bay is averaging 5.7 runs per game so I expect them to have success vs. Buente. James Shields goes for the Rays and he's been great, posting a 2.26 ERA. He's been as good on the road as he has been at home. Tampa Bay has been one of the best road teams the past couple of seasons, going 63-42 for +16.2 units over that span. They are also 11-4 overall in their last 15 road games while the Marlins are 2-6 in their last eight games following a win. Take the Rays here.
