Jeff Niemann has been downright awesome this season going 10-3 with a 3.12 ERA. His team is 17-5 when he steps on the mound, including 9-1 on the road. Dan Haren hasn't been as productive. On the road he's pitched poorly but at home he's been good (3.97 ERA with 101 strikeouts in 102 innings). The Rays can certainly hit, but their offense takes a step back in day games. While going about .500 on over/unders at night, they are 22-16 UNDER in day games, scoring only 4.6 runs per game. Over the past two seasons, they are 53-32 UNDER in day games. The Angels have struggled offensively all season long and they perform their worst at home where they average only 4.1 runs per game. Over the past two seasons, the Rays are 70-51 UNDER vs. AL teams that score under 4.8 rpg. The Rays are also off a big 10-3 win last night and they are 50-25 UNDER in their last 75 games after a win in which they scored 6+ runs. I like this game to go UNDER the total.
