Tampa Bay at Kansas City

It has been a long five days for the Kansas City Royals, who had not scored a run since last Thursday going into last night's game. They scored and won, and left behind a trail that included four straight shutouts and 45 innings without a run scored. They have gotten the monkey off their back, and with the playoffs still in reach, I look for them to play loose tonight vs. Tampa Bay. The Rays have not been good over the last quarter of the season at 15-24. The Rays have issues offensively of their own, having been shut out six times in the 39 games, and plating three runs or less in 22 of the 39 games, or 56.4% of the time. I think the Royals perk up tonight while the Rays continue to fall off. Play on Kansas City.
