Tampa Bay at Houston

The Tampa Bay Rays are still in the race as they are 6.5 games behind the Yankees in the East, but very much in reach of a Wild Card entry to the playoffs, where they trail by just 2.5 games. Houston has really struggled for an extended period as the young Astros may be feeling the pressure of a pennant race. They are just 16-20 over their last 36 games. Erasmo Ramirez has pitched great for the Rays as he has allowed 1 earned run or less in eight of his last 10 starts.  Scott Kazmir has deserved a better fate than his 6-7 record as his ERA is a stellar 2.12, but he stands at just 1-3 lifetime vs. the Rays. The Rays have had a lot of recent success vs. left handed pitching posting a 15-5 mark in their last 20 against them, and they are 5-0 behind Ramirez in his last five starts vs. a winning team.
