Tampa Bay at Detroit

The Tigers had a horrid month of games where they went a woeful 9-20 over a 29 game stretch. But when you look at the starting pitching, the lineup and what they have done otherwise, they are a scary team. Outside of the 29 game swoon, the Tigers are 39-14, and just swept the Oakland A's and have their swagger back. Tampa Bay saw a season high five game winning streak come to a screeching halt last night, as they were drubbed by Detroit 8-1. The Rays simply don't score runs, and the Tigers' offense is in stride right now. Drew Smyly may be considered the weakest link in the Tigers' rotation, at 4-7 but he has allowed 2 runs or less in four of his last five starts. The Rays own an 0-6 mark in Cobb's last six starts on regular four days rest, and the Rays are just 2-9 in their last 11 in Detroit. Play on Detroit.
